2023 Competitive Exhibit Rules
All entries/exhibits must be produced or owned in Henry County or the surrounding counties by the entrant and must have been made within the last year.

  • Multiple items may be entered in a category but only 1 per class. All entries/exhibits will be accepted Monday, September 18th from 12pm – 7pm. Entries will be judged on Tuesday, September 19th and displayed at the fair, September 20- 23.
  • No viewing of entries/exhibits will be allowed during judging.
  • No entrant may win two prizes in any given category.
  • Any entry/exhibit not listed in the catalogue will not be considered worthy of an award, but may be awarded a ribbon. The decision of the judges will be final.
  • All baked goods must be made as listed by the recipe – not prepared mixes that have been bought – and the recipe must be attached to the entry.
  • Contestants should only enter a half (½) cake, pie or loaf of bread and should place it in a clear plastic bag for display. Canned foods should be in an approved canning jar.
  • Quilts should be brought with a clothes hanger to be displayed.
  • All flower arrangements should be in a container that will hold water. NO ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS PERMITTED.
  • All crafts in Division III that need to be hung for display should be brought with a clothes hanger. EXAMPLES: Sweater, vest, bedspreads, outfits.
  • Neither officers of the fair nor the County of Henry, Virginia will be responsible for damage or loss that may occur to entries or exhibits.
All entries must be removed between 11am – 2pm on Sunday, September 24 and a ticket stub will be required. In order to protect your entry/exhibit, absolutely no early withdrawals will be allowed.
