SUNY Sullivan Nursing Program Admissions Application

How to apply for acceptance to SUNY Sullivan's Nursing Program:

1. Applicants who are not currently enrolled at SUNY Sullivan must first complete a free admissions application to the college. Click here to apply.

2. Applicant must have official transcripts from high school and college (if applicable) sent to admissions@sunysullivan.edu. If the applicant earned a GED, a copy of the certificate and transcript must be emailed to admissions@sunysullivan.edu. Unofficial transcripts showing courses currently in progress at another college(s) must be sent to admissions@sunysullivan.edu (if applicable). Decisions will be based upon the documents received at the time this application is submitted.

3. Applicant must confirm minimum requirements are met for GPA, English, Math, and Science as listed in the application below. Required courses can be completed or in progress when the application is submitted.

4. This application must be submitted no later than March 1st for the Fall cohort and October 1st for the Spring cohort for first consideration. Applications received after the deadline will be considered individually if there remains room in the program.

5. Sign up and take the ATI TEAS entrance exam. Test results must be sent to SUNY Sullivan no later than March 1st for the Fall cohort and October 1st for the Spring cohort.

6. If you are a current SUNY Sullivan student, see your faculty advisor to confirm you have met the minimum requirements.

NOTE: If you have attended a nursing program within the past 10 years you will need to submit a letter from the Dean or Director of that program stating you were not dismissed due to patient safety or behavioral issues. If you do not indicate that you have attended a previous nursing program, your application will be rejected once the credits on your transcript are evaluated.

1. GPA Requirement:

High School Average is 85+ OR College GPA is 2.5+

2. Math Competency (ONE of the following):

NYS Regents Exam with Score of 75 or higher

ACT Math score of 17 or higher

SAT Math score of 450 or higher

SUNY Sullivan or Transfer Equivalent Math with a Grade of "C" or higher

3. English Competency (ONE of the following):

NYS Regents exam score of 78 or higher

ACT English score of 17 or higher

SAT English score of 480 or higher

SUNY Sullivan or Transfer Equivalent English with a Grade of "C" or higher

4. Science Competency (ONE of the following):

NYS Regents exam score of 70 or higher

SUNY Sullivan or Transfer Equivalent Science with a Grade of "C" or higher

5. SCI 1124 Principles of Biology or Transfer Equivalent must be completed or in progress to be considered for entrance into the nursing program at the time of application submission. A grade of "C" or higher is required. This requirement may be reviewed for transfer students.

6. Official TEAS score has been emailed to admissions@sunysullivan.edu.
