Film Series Table Host Request Form
The 2023 Film Series seeks to "go deeper" in valuing and appreciating the rich history, culture, and experiences of the ethnic diversity within the NIC. We look forward to working with our local churches to foster conversation and build community through food and conversation. 

The host churches will receive a $100 stipend to purchase food that is related to the theme of the quarter.  In addition, those attending the hosted event will be asked for a $5 fee to further offset costs above the stipend from the Task Force. The events will include a time for fellowship over the meals, a panel discussion (streamed over Zoom) to review and comment on the film selected for the quarter and answer questions from the participants. Additional time will be allowed for the local group to "go deeper" in exploring the topic. The Task Force will provide questions for the "going deeper" conversations. The event is planned to last from 6-8:30 pm on a weekday evening.  

We will register people who are interested in attending your hosted event. We will notify them of the $5 fee that will be collected at your church. We will provide you with their name and church. You will be responsible for collecting the $5.

What is the minimum and maximum number of people that you would like to host? We will honor this number. If the numbers fall below the minimum or there are requests above the maximum, we will contact you ahead of time to discuss. 
Please provide details of the menu that you will be serving. If you do not know the exact menu at this time, please email Amania Drane at adrane@umcnic.org once the menu has been finalized. Please make sure the menu aligns with the quarter's food theme. The food theme for the 3rd quarter is American food (including any various ethnic foods that you would like to include).
Guest registration is important. This will let the churches know how many people to prepare for. People who attend your church should also register so that we stay within the numbers you have requested. Will you and/or the church contact encourage members and attendees of your church to register? We will send you the registration link.
