The overall goal of the SCC program at CRH is to prevent suicide by offering connections to supports, resources and other social services in Sacramento County so youth feel healthy, empowered, and connected.
Specific services include:
• Individual (person-driven) support and case management including but not limited to: peer support by advocates with lived-experience, independent living skills training, employment support, school support, interpersonal communication skills, promote health and wellbeing, learn coping, self-advocacy and empowerment skills, and provide referrals and linkages to culturally specific resources.
• Educational and Support Groups provided in the community including: sexuality and gender groups, art groups, life skills groups, and mental health workshops
• Outreach including participation at various local events, health fairs workshops at religious organizations and local schools, suicide prevention walks, as well as social media efforts (Instagram and Facebook)
