Job Overview
Freelance Youth Media Facilitator
We are looking for an energetic, creative and passionate person to join our freelance team of Media Youth Facilitators for a range of upcoming projects.
We are looking for a person with experience and knowledge of multimedia skills such as cinematography, animation, vlogging, photography and/or other media skills, ideally having a background in youth work, teaching or training.

The Role & Responsibilities
As a Facilitator for BNL Productions you will be required to teach different media techniques through workshops.
If the workshop requires it you may have to collect and return equipment from the studio in Lurgan.
You may potentially have to spend some time in post-production with support from studio staff or Project Manager.
You may have to liaising with the client as well as the BNL Project Manager.
You may have to learn internal systems, as well as our policies and procedures.
Project work covers a range of categories and may include (is not limited to):
- Cross community projects
- Young people, including those at risk
- Young people with learning, sensory and physical disabilities
- Ethnic minorities
- Other
Ideal requirements:
- Minimum of one years experience in a similar role
- Teaching or youth work qualification
- Media or equivalent degree or higher level qualifications
- Clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Understanding/background of the work involved in the creative processes in relation to media production
- Experience in delivering film making, photography, animation and/or vlogging workshops
- Ideally have experience in delivering Peace related workshops and be able to take a neutral and positive stand point following themes such as sectarianism, racism, drugs & alcohol, mental health etc.
Working Culture & Hours
Due to the nature of the work, there are no set working hours. A typical project might include 1 workshop or a series of workshops. For example, delivering 3-10 x 2.5 hour evening workshops.
Workshops maybe during the daytime, evenings and/or weekends. Some workshops may be required during a full weekend such as staying on residential. Flexibility will be required.
BNL will usually supply you with a set of pre-prepared presentations to aid in the delivery with the group and to explain the main key aims of the workshop/s.

N.B.
BNL will complete an access NI for you in advance and supply you with a casual uniform.

Salary
This will be a subcontractor agreement role on a freelance basis offering a competitive hourly rate, that will cover travel time (from Lurgan studio to workshop return), mileage and any other hospitality agreed in advance.
