Dance Department Student Petition: a departmental petition is required for any schedule choice that differs from our stated rules. Departmental petitions are circulated to the BFA or BA Committee for approval or denial. This petition does NOT go to the College Office. Frequent reasons to petition include: Requesting to take fewer than the required 7technique classes a week; Taking elective modern in place of the core modern class; Choosing not to take ballet for a semester

Dance Department Student Petition: a departmental petition is required for any schedule choice that differs from our stated  policies.  Departmental petitions are circulated to the Undergraduate  for approval or denial for undergraduates and the MFA Committee for Graduates. This petition does NOT go to the College Office.   Because 21-22 is a transition out of COVID policies and toward more normal functioning, next year students can request to stay remote instead of participating in an in-person class/es for fall 2021/spring 22.  If the petition is accepted, the departmental will open up an online section.
