ABHN Engagement Survey
The purpose of this brief survey is to revisit community interest and engagement with the Asian Behavioral Health Network (ABHN). ABHN was established in 2011 to develop a cohesive network of Asian behavioral health professionals in the Austin area.  The group’s initial vision was to provide professional development, referral services, an online directory, and networking opportunities for behavioral health professionals who work with or have an interest in serving Austin’s diverse AAPI community.  Activities hosted by ABHN have remained dormant since 2016 due to the lack of formal leadership; however, the ABHN google group has remained active and a resource for many.

Recently, the Hogg Foundation has generously provided some funding to support ABHN in its development and organization. As a result, there has been a renewed interest by a few to either re-energize the network or identify opportunities to leverage ABHN current network with other community initiatives, including establishing a more robust local directory of AAPI therapists in the Austin area accessible to organizations like Asian Family Support Services of Austin (AFSSA) and  Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI), who work directly with AAPI populations often in great need of behavioral health professionals who speak an Asian language and are culturally in tune with the populations served.

We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete a brief survey to assess your level of interest and engagement with ABHN as we determine the next best steps for enhancing this network. If you are a provider we invite you to add your information into a local directory that can be accessible to organizations serving AAPI populations.
