March 18, 2020: During this unprecedented time, the University of Atlantia staff want to offer our populace the opportunity to continue sharing and acquiring knowledge even while our in-person events are being canceled. To this end, we are issuing a variance to usual University policy and granting class credit for instructors and students for online classes taught by an Atlantian instructor or via the Honorable Clover or SCA Virtual Classroom Facebook groups.
All students and instructors must self-report their classes to receive university credit. Please complete the form as completely and accurately as possible. If we have incorrect / incomplete class info to work from, it may keep us from being able to grant credit.
Note: This variance will be in effect until June 1 with an option to extend depending on circumstances at that point.
May 25, 2020 Update: The University staff recently had a conversation regarding granting credits for online classes after May 31.
**Beginning on June 1 we will grant University credit ONLY for classes taken that are listed on the Virtual Atlantia calendar.**
When we made the initial decision on March 18 to allow a variance granting class credits for online classes until June 1 for classes taught by an Atlantian instructor, via the Honorable Clover, or the SCA Virtual Classroom Facebook groups, Virtual Atlantia did not yet exist. Therefore, we made this decision to be more fully collaborative with Virtual Atlantia, encourage more contributions and use of this resource, reduce the overall number of places where classes may originate making tracking or data more difficult, and with the knowledge that this more fully supports Their Majesties vision for this now available online resource.
