The Vigil Honor is the highest honor that the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members for service to lodge, council, and Scouting. The Vigil Honor is bestowed only upon the most Outstanding Brotherhood members who demonstrate unwavering Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service. Membership cannot be won by a person's conscious endeavors. Tenure alone is never reason for nomination.
To be eligible, one must be a
Brotherhood member for two full years and be a
dues-paid member in good standing with the Lodge and Council.
Anyone (even non-scouts) can submit a Vigil Nomination. The information you provide below will be shared with the Vigil Selection Committee comprised of youth arrowman (Vigil and non-Vigil) from each active chapter.
Include specific details such as:
- Exemplary Character
- Servant Leadership
- Service to the Lodge and OA
- Service to Camp and the Scouting Movement
- Service to Community
