If you need them, yellow bags are available from the Department of Public Works (DPW) at 9 Alpha Rd.  Please place yellow bags curbside with your regular trash and report large items to the DPW at 978-250-5203.

- Opportunity to share before/after photos!

This data helps us celebrate your efforts and prepare for next year's Town Wide Cleanup.   
Suggested Areas
Residents have reported that these areas need more litter pick-up.  Remember to keep safety your first priority.  Areas near the highways, busy roads, steep slopes, etc. should be left for DPW staff.
  • The Liquor Store at the corner of Sprague Street and Rt 3A

  • Under highway bridges

  • Freeman Lake/beach area and its surrounding forest areas

  • The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail from the Lowell entrance to Chelmsford Center

  • Parking lot tree row in front of Euphoria Coffee, Meadowbrook Rd near the train tracks

  • Groton Rd near the entrance to route 3 and along on and off ramps

  • Wooded area between Sully’s Ice Cream and Chelmsford High School

  • Brick Kiln Rd (the wetland next to the Middlesex Sheriff’s Academy and also the open space below their dumpster) 

  • Turnpike Road needs ongoing attention

  • CHS ball field and perimeter of "horse and cow" triangle
