***Due to COVID-19, an RSVP is REQUIRED to attend Micro-Plantings. NOSC will be strictly following all state and county COVID-19 regulations, and limiting the number of volunteers to 8 per Micro-Planting.***

***The signature of a COVID-19 agreement prior to attending a planting is required to ensure the safety of NOSC staff and our volunteers.***

The Salmon Coalition will be planting native trees and shrubs at the recently completed Kilisut Harbor Restoration site. The Kilisut Harbor Restoration Project restores tidal connection between southern Kilisut Harbor (Scow Bay) and Oak Bay by removing the earthen causeway from the 1940’s that contained two undersized culverts. The causeway was replaced with a 440-foot bridge. These actions restore natural processes and biological responses to 27 acres of marine intertidal habitat and tidal-fringe salt marsh.
