Happy National Children's Dental Health Month!
Join us at as we are kicking off this FREE Give Kids A Smile® (GKAS) event with the launch of a new children's book in celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month! My name is Rhonda Radford Adams. I am a registered dental hygienist and the author of The Hot S.P.I.T. Chronicles, an art-in-health book series that creatively teaches children the connection between dental habits and overall wellness. We are happy to announce the launch of our first story in this series entitled, “Good Night, Sleep Tight, Beware of Sticky Icky Plaque and The Sugar Bug Bite!” . This event will take place at The Museum of Health and Medical Science on Thursday, February 25 from 2pm - 7pm.
Give Kids A Smile is an annual volunteer initiative providing free educational, preventive and restorative
services to children from low-income families. Thanks to a generous product donation from The American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Foundation, we will provide oral health education products with our scheduled workshops throughout the year.
CALLING ON VOLUNTEER SMILE MAKERS!
Sign up to become a volunteer oral health educator at our workshops and learn about the art of community health education in YOUR OWN FUN and CREATIVE WAY! Of course, we also realize that your time is valuable and you are focused on your studies. For this reason, we are providing a donation stipend for your participation in the amount of $20/hour per school or student organization represented. This means that your organization could earn up to $100 for participating in each event and up to $200 for both events! This is a great way to learn and earn for your cause!
