The Sustainability Team are now accepting applications for student volunteers to be Project Assistants for the 2021 Green Impact program.
Project Assistants are students trained to be assigned to a staff team for the duration of the program (March-October). You will help them implement green actions and by getting involved you can gain practical work experience, meet like-minded people and help to make a positive change to the University. You do not need any prior experience, and will receive all the necessary training.
As a Project Assistant you will:
- Improve your understanding of sustainability and behaviour change
- Develop professional and employability skills
- Improve your CV
- Gain direct workplace experience
- Learn team work and engagement skills
Project Assistants are required to commit to:
- Attend a 3 hour training session on Wednesday 14th April from 9am-12pm
- Join a team and undertake meaningful actions throughout the course of the program (March-October)
- Commit a minimum time period of at least 1/2 hour per week
In order to be eligible to participate, Project Assistants must be:
- Current University of Melbourne students
- Available for the 3 hour training session on Wednesday 14th April from 9am-12pm over a live webinar.
The training event and volunteering your time throughout the program can also be counted towards your LICA award.
