If so, Join Opportunity Neighborhood Mount Vernon today to become a community leader and make sure your neighbors voices are being heard. As United Community continues to strive to uplift families and residents, this is our community wide, multi-generational effort to uplift residents and families to reach their fullest potential by emphasizing community voice.
As a Neighborhood Ambassador, you will receive leadership and professional development training, learn about civic engagement, meet with various government officials, connect with your neighbors, and earn a $100.00 stipend a month.
Responsibilities:
- Serve 15 to 20 hours per month.
- Serve on the ONMV council to lead decision making regarding services and resources in your area.
- Share relevant information about county and community sponsored events, programs, and resources with residents within your neighborhood.
