2024 Montana Council Camp Scholarship Application
APPLICATION DEADLINE APRIL 30, 2024

This application is for Montana Council Camp attendance only.  This includes K-M Cub Scout Camp, K-M Webelos/AOL Camp, Scouts BSA Summer Camps at K-M and Melita Island, and National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT).

This camp scholarship application is for youth members only. Only one application per Scout will be considered.

To be eligible for a camp scholarship,  youth applicants MUST:
  • Be currently registered within the Montana Council and in good standing for at least 30 days prior to completing an application.
  • Attend a Montana Council operated Summer Camp (K-M Cub Scout Camp, K-M Webelos/AOL Camp, Scouts BSA Summer Camps, NYLT)
  • Be recommended by his/her unit leader (committee chair, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or Advisor) and parent/guardian.
A Scout is Thrifty: A Scout works to pay his own way and help others. Camp scholarships do not exceed 50% of the fee.

Award timeline: Camp scholarships are reviewed after the April 30, 2024 deadline. The parent and troop leader will be notified of the camp scholarship award no later than May 8, 2024. If approved, the camp scholarship amount will be applied to the event when registration of the individual is confirmed. Funds will be credited to the appropriate unit camp balance. It is critical that correct parent and unit leader email addresses are given on this application, as this is the primary method of notification, or for any questions from the committee. Camp scholarships are awarded to a specific individual and are not transferable to other youth.

Camp scholarships are awarded based on need. The allocation process, and information used in it, is confidential and will not be shared outside of the camp scholarship allocation committees.
