Thank you for your interests in participating at the WCRP Workshop on Extremes in Climate Prediction Ensembles (ExCPEns). This form will be used to select capable early-career scientists (ECS) in the Asia-Pacific region to build capacities on understanding, predicting, and assessing risks and impacts of weather and climate extremes.

Please complete the following information and submit it by 31 July 2021 (extended deadline).

The information you provide below will be used to structure the workshop program as well as to contact individuals for further notice.

Qualification

EDUCATION

An PhD student or a scientist who has received his/her highest degree (MSc or PhD) within the past five year In the field of weather and climate studies

NATIONALITY

- There is no limit in nationality in attending the closed ECS training session.
- Only ECS from APN developing countries* will have exclusive access to the networking sessions, which will help enhancing ECS’s networking and connections to the broader global and regional research communities in the Asia-Pacific region.

* APN developing countries include Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Island Countries, Pakistan, Philippines, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
