For decades, researchers have been exploring just how unreliable our own memories are. Not only is memory fickle when we access it, but it’s also quite easily with subverted and rewritten. Combine this susceptibility with modern image-editing software at our fingertips like Photoshop, and it’s a recipe for disaster. In a world where we can witness news and world events as they unfold, fake images surround us, and our minds accept these pictures as real, and remember them later. These fake memories don’t just distort how we see our past, they affect our current and future behaviour too – from what we eat, to how we protest and vote. The problem is there’s virtually nothing we can do to stop it.

Old memories seem to be the easiest to manipulate. In one study, subjects were showed images from their childhood. Along with real images, researchers snuck in manipulated photographs of the subject taking a hotair balloon ride with his or her family. After seeing those images, 50% of subjects recalled some part of that hot-air balloon ride – though the event was entirely made up.

1) You deserve the truth. You are smart enough to make up your own mind - as long as you have the real facts in front of you. You have every right to be insulted when you read fake news.
2) Fake news can hurt you, and a lot of other people. For example: fake news about medical advice help perpetuate  myths like HIV and AIDS aren't related, or that vaccines cause autism. These kind of news are usually visited and their lies are dangerous.
3) Real news can benefit you. If you are planning on voting in an election, you want to read as much good information on a candidate so you can vote for the person who best represents your ideas and beliefs. Fake news will not help you get a good grade or make the world a better place. but real news can.

Seeing images of friends enjoying themselves at an event you were not invited to may lead a sense of exclusion, say scientists.Social media websites designed to help people connect are actually having the opposite effect and causing users to feel more alone, a new study has found.
Nowadays. people who spend too much time online on these platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, the more likely they are to feel cut off from the rest of the world, according to psychologists.
Those who typically spend more than hours online a day are doubling their chances of feeling isolated, US researchers discovered.

Identity is important. But identity is not the same as humanity. I am a human. But what kind of human I am is a completely different story.
We are all born with a certain identity. We live in a certain country, we belong to a certain family, we eat certain foods, we attend or don't attend a certain religious facility. All of this forms who we are, our identity. As we grow up, our identity changes. We go to college, get a job, get married and/or divorced, have children, buy/sell a house, move, travel. All of these things change our identity, but they don’t change who we are.
Identity has to do with how the rest of the world sees us.
Humanity has to do with who we are fundamentally.

Language and identity are two expressions that need to be explained. English is the official language in several countries, Chinese is the language spoken by Chinese people and Danish is how Danes speak. But languages could also be described as different ways of talking due to social background, education, profession, age and sex. A person's language is connected to his social situation. People speak differently also because they belong to different social worlds. Identity can signify the very special characteristic of a person, something that makes him differ from others.
