Please accept this invitation to the 43rd running of the Statesman Capitol 10,000 race on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in Austin, Texas. The Statesman Cap10K is the largest 10K in Texas, sixth largest in the nation and attracts over 25,000 racers each year. The Cap10K is produced by the Austin American-Statesman and is presented by Baylor Scott & White Health. Austin’s oldest annual race attracts notable athletes from around the country to compete for the title of Cap10K Champion each year and we would like you to consider joining that field.

Invitation Requirements

In consideration of a complimentary race entry and seeding in the Elite wave of the Statesman Capitol 10,000 race, athletes are required to accept the terms of packet pick-up for their race number and submit proof of eligible performance. Upon verification of eligible performance athlete will receive a complimentary entry into the 2020 race. Athlete will issued official race number at the Capitol Warm-up Run event hosted at the Austin American-Statesman. If athlete is unable to attend elite packet pick-up on 3/28/20, athlete forfeits their complimentary entry. Deadline to respond to invitation is 3/23/20.

Appointment to the Elite wave of the race is by invitation or by meeting the time standard listed below. If you are in race shape, we would like you to come and experience the competition of the Cap10K. The prize of being crowed the women’s or men’s champion is a legacy that will be with you beyond the publicity of the race coverage. The race’s long list of champions includes both Olympic and All-American athletes. We look forward to your acceptance and attendance at this year’s race as you compete alongside some of best elite athletes in the country. Deadline to submit eligibility is 3/23/20.
