Celebration of Efforts to Cultivate Youth Mattering
Let’s celebrate!

It’s been almost a year since we launched the Maine Resilience Building Network's Cultivating Mattering for Maine Youth and we are so inspired by the work being done throughout our state to support the health and well-being of our young people.

Over the last year and half we have seen the power of connection to bring our community together during challenging times! Now more than ever, we want to share and celebrate all the ways people are making sure that Maine youth feel seen, heard, and valued.

This form has three questions, feel free to complete one or all (none are required). Any and all stories and examples of youth Mattering & connection are welcome, nothing is too small to share!

We would love to see pictures of connectedness or mattering in your community! If you have any please email to Maureen O'Brien at Maureen@maineresilience.org.

Thank you all again for your amazing work!

We know that maintaining connections has been particularly challenging this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic kept us at a distance. Did you try something new? Share with us what you/your program did to maintain connection.
After our Mattering Community Conversations, we heard about some changes that were made. Did you change anything to make sure ALL youth know they matter? Policies? Practices? Are you using more inclusive language or signage? Have you found new ways to put youth at the forefront of your organization by adding young people to your leadership team or involving them at the very beginning of project planning or system creation? Share some examples of changes you made.
In what ways to do you support Youth Mattering in your program or in your daily life?
By completing and submitting this form, note that you are giving MRBN permission to share your story. If you would prefer that we not use your name, please click here.
