RKDC, based in Torrance, CA and Wichita, KS, seeks two highly skilled contemporary dance artists with a collaborative mindset, proficiency in improvisation and contemporary partnering and strong performance skills. Positions are available for one male-identifying and one female-identifying dancer. Dancers must be willing to relocate to Wichita, KS for rehearsal periods and be available on the following dates:
Rehearsals in Wichita, KS: Sept 19-Oct 17
Performance in Torrance, CA: Oct 18-22

We will be accepting applications through Sept. 1. Notification of invitation to in-person audition will be received by the applicant by Sept. 3 or earlier. Selected applicants will be invited to an in-person audition in Wichita, KS on Sunday, September 10, 2023, 1-5pm. Please complete this form to apply.

3. Include a link to at least one minute of performance footage (location can be stage, site specific, studio, etc),

Compensation:
Performers will be contracted for 20-25 hours/week for 4-5 weeks and performance in CA on Oct. 21. Compensation range: $2000-$2400. Per diem, Travel, lodging, and transportation to CA are paid for by RKDC. Lodging in Wichita can be provided for short-term project dancers as an exclusive benefit. Long-term company positions do not include lodging. We value transparency and fair resource allocation.
