What is a State Fair Coordinator?

They take a leadership role in bringing the magic of Montessori to the State Fair!

Interested?

You get to lead the area you are coordinating. You can choose to lead in collaboration with another person, individually, or with a team. You can create your own team or bring your own partner or the Board can recruit partners and/or team members to join you. All coordinators connect at least monthly with the MNMN Board and have the full support of the Board. Board members have many State Fair tasks and responsibilities also, so we are all ONE TEAM!

There is a lead Board member responsible for the State Fair providing training and support for all Coordinators.

Event Coordinator: Coordinate the Coordinators! If you like event-planning and partnering, you will love this role.

Montessori School Coordinator: Connect with Montessori Schools in the state to ensure they have an opportunity to volunteer at the Fair as a team with those from their school and their directory information is up-to-date for the handouts. If you know or want to know and build relationships with the many Montessori schools in the state, you will love this role.

Volunteer Coordinator: Connect with Montessorians and Montessori advocates in MN to establish volunteers for the 12 days of the fair. If you like connecting with Montessorians and helping them connect to one another through fun together at the fair, this is for you!

Materials Coordinator: Inventory the materials in the booth, recommend purchases and maintenance required to improve the materials, design the layout of materials. If you have a passion for Montessori’s materials and an interest in learning which are best for connecting well with visitors to the State Fair, you’ll will have a great time in this role. [NOTE: If you are not trained at each level, you can team with others who are.]
