Dear Parents,

As a student, your child has an opportunity to participate in the BACS Instrumental Program. Our instrumental teachers provide lessons in woodwinds, brass, and percussion for grades 4-8, and for strings in grades 1-8.

We offer individual or small group lessons, and prepare students for participation in the school orchestra program and ensembles. Weekly lessons following the school schedule are provided throughout the school year. Lessons are scheduled around the school day, according to teacher and student availability.

Our program includes:

• 10 lessons each academic term (30 minutes each)
• Weekly wind and percussion ensemble for proficient students (online)
• Weekly string ensemble for proficient students (online)
• Performances in the Christmas Program and Spring concert (virtual)
• Use of school instruments at no charge, on a first-come first-served basis

Music Lesson Fees *

30 minute individual lessons: $16.50 X 10 lessons = $165 per term / $495 per year 30 minute group lessons (2 or more students): $12.50 X 10 lessons = $125 per term / $375 per year. Teachers place students in group or individual lessons based on their level of playing and the availability of groups. Longer lessons are available by request.
