Area 4 HMA Scholarship to National Seminar 2020 in Orlando

Handbell Musicians of America Area 4 is pleased to offer 3 scholarships to the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar 2020. The seminar will feature classes and tracks for directors and ringers of all levels and abilities, as well as concerts by some of the top handbell performers.

The "Full Ride" scholarship will include full event registration, airfare/travel reimbursement up to $300, and hotel reimbursement based on double occupancy group rates that have been negotiated through HMA.

Two "Event Registration" scholarships will cover the full event registration for the entirety of the seminar.

Deadline for scholarship application: April 1, 2020.
Recipients will be notified by April 15, 2020 and must register for National Seminar by May 1, 2020.

Eligibility Requirements and Guidelines
 - Handbell Musicians of America member or sub-member in good standing (this includes ringers and directors whose choir has a full membership)
 - Area 4 Resident (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, Bahamas and US Virgin Islands)
 - First-time attendee of National Seminar
 - Write a summary (at least 400 words + photos if possible) of their experience at the National Seminar for publication due August 15, 2020.
 - A reference from a full guild member who is knowledgeable about your work with handbells and must be received by April 1, 2020 to treasurer.area4@handbellmusicians.org
 - Only one scholarship will be awarded to an individual.
 - A committee appointed by the chair of Area 4 will review all applications and select the recipients. Area 4 reserves all rights to award all, some, or none of the scholarships based upon the number of applicants and their qualifications. The decision of the Area 4 Board is final.
