DIY Bike Hub volunteer form
PLEASE READ IN FULL BELOW - Due to high demand all youth applicants will be placed on a waitlist and you will be contacted once space becomes available for our weekly sessions (Tuesdays from 4:00-7:00pm) or to volunteer at a pop-up event (weekends). We are also looking for adult mentors ages 18+ (newcomer or non-newcomer) with experience in bike repair to help us at our sessions - please complete the form below.

Welcome to the DIY Bike Hub, where we teach newcomer youth ages 13-24 bike repair basics through hands-on demonstrations and practicing bike repair on donated/collected bikes, specific skills with workshops and networking and outreach opportunities at our public “pop-up” events. The DIY Bike Hub is a component of the Mississauga Cycles project, based at Peel Multicultural Council, with funding provided by the Region of Peel.

Registration: This form will add your name to a waitlist to participate in our indoor and outdoor bike repair sessions, meet new friends, as well as learn and practice new cycling skills while following best practices for health and safety during COVID-19. The DIY Bike Hub will take place at Peel Multicultural Council, the back entrance, at 6630 Turner Valley Road, Mississauga, Ontario.

What we provide: All materials for bike repair are provided on-site, including tarps, bike stands, repair tools and basic parts for replacement such as chains, cables, housing, valve caps etc. Cleaning supplies are also available on-site, including rags, lubricant, degreaser and grease, in addition to gloves, masks and hand sanitizer, mindful of COVID-19. Snacks will be available as well as bottled water or access to the water fountain and washrooms. Note that masks are required to be worn on-site and we can provide you with one.

Please complete the form below and note that spaces are limited! As a project based at a newcomer settlement agency, our priority will be newcomer participants.

Do you wish to donate a bike (in working order or easily fixable condition)?
