Alabama State Plan for Independent Living Draft Goals and Objectives
Alabama must submit a three-year State Plan for Independent Living to the Administration for Community Living in order to receive federal funding. Monies will be used for a statewide network of Independent Living Centers serving individuals with significant disabilities and fulfill the duties of the Alabama State Independent Living Council. This includes collaborating with state agencies and disability service programs. You can help by attending a public forum and responding to a survey about the draft plan

Please respond to EACH item on the survey. Add an explanation if you select the response ‘Other.’  Your answers are confidential and will be used to improve the statewide plan for independent living.  Please indicate whether you agree or disagree that each Goal and associated Objectives should be included in the State Plan for Independent Living.  Please respond by May 31, 2020.  If you have any questions, please email dan.kessler@drradvocates.org.
