This form is to allow Men's Masters players to register their interest in playing for the Sunshine Coast in one of the three Age Divisions, 34+ (34-44), 45+ (45-54) and 55+, at the Queensland Men's Masters Championships, currently scheduled for Friday 3 May to Monday 6 May 2024 in Townsville. We are expecting to field teams in each of these age groups after our successful 2023 Championships. Please complete this form even if you are unsure whether you can attend or not at this stage. Ages are based on the age you are turning by 31 December 2024.
Attendance at these Championships requires 2024 membership of Hockey Australia, Hockey Queensland and Sunshine Coast Hockey Association (or equivalent Association), which you would achieve by either registering for a 2024 SCHA club team or for the SCHA Men's Masters Monday night competition. It may be possible to attend the QLD championships without playing in a SCHA competition but the above three membership requirements would apply. Players in this situation would need to carefully weigh up the cost effectiveness of this form of participation.
Note that uniforms for each SCHA team will need to be organised, so the earlier we know numbers the better. Players will be expected to organise their own transport to and from Townsville and usually each team coordinates accommodation among themselves.
Attendance at these championships provides the opportunity to nominate and trial for Queensland 34+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+ and 60+ teams attending the 2024 Australian Men's Masters Championships in Hobart as follows:

34+ to 50+ Men: Friday 12 July – Saturday 20 July 2024 - Tournament 3
55+ to 65+ Men: Tuesday 16 July* – Saturday 27 July 2024 (*There will be a staggered start to Tournament 3. Teams will commence between 16 and 19 July).

The earlier we can form teams and notify QLD Masters, the easier it is for them to assemble the championships.
