You may be aware that in February, the Mayor announced that he will provide £130 million emergency, one-off funding to ensure all primary school children can receive free school meals for the academic year beginning in September 2023. 

This funding only applies to the Junior School as children in the Infant School are already entitled to a free school meal. 

This funding will support families who are desperately struggling with spiralling costs. If all parents take up this offer of a free school meal it could have a significant impact on our kitchen and will require us to look at issues such increasing storage, hiring more staff and purchasing additional cookers.

We would therefore like to get an indication as to how many children who currently have packed lunches may have a school meal next year so we can plan accordingly. Please only complete the questionnaire below if your child will be in years 3 to 6 next year and currently have a packed lunch.
