Second Chance At Renewing Self (S.C.A.R.S.) is asking you to nominate a friend, yourself,  or a family member  who you believe may be a deserving candidate for one of three honorary awards to be presented at the 3rd Annual UnMask the Night Domestic Violence Survivors Gala on Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Richmond, Virginia.

These awards honor individuals whose endurance and extraordinary service merit individual recognition.
Award nominees should be individuals who have either experienced some form of intimate partner violence or serve as an advocate helping support victims/survivors of intimate partner violence.

Nominee Categories:
OVERCOMER:  An individual who has been free from Intimate Partner Violence 3-5 years, has embraced their healing journey and taken necessary steps in reclaiming their life.

THRIVER: An individual who has been free from Intimate Partner Violence 5 or more years and has made significant strides in overcoming, healing and now lives a healthy life.

CHAMPION: An advocate who provides services to victims/survivors or is an advocate/activist for women's rights.  Can be employed in a community-based organization, government agency or be an unsung hero doing grassroots work.
