A weekend escape outside of Lisbon, Portugal, for the EV community to drop in and dive deep into the practice of voice, movement, and improvisation.
Sessions will range from covering the more subtle inner somatic landscape of voice and functional voice technique, to the more outer expressive and collaborative aspects of vocal improvisation. The weekend will be structured with morning yoga and meditation, followed by a deep-dive morning session on vocal technique and embodiment. In the afternoons we will practice various forms and games for creating music in the moment. After dinner we will let loose, enjoying circle singing, harmony songs, and co-created spaces to play with everything we have learned during the day.

We will be hosted by Ser Vivo, an intentional community with a focus on movement practice as a key path for human development.
Estrada do Vale dos Barris, Palmela, Portugal
Ser Vivo is located in Arrábida Natural Park, about 30minutes walk from Palmela, a small town near Sétubal, accessible by train and bus. You can also drive or get a taxi from Lisbon, which won't be very expensive, especially if shared. If you'd like to add on some extra activities before or after our weekend retreat, Sétubal, Portinho da Arrábida, or Costa da Galé are lovely places to visit (most easily by car).
