Court Watcher Application
CALEB is launching a month-long information-collection program for pretrial cases. CALEB’s Court Watch effort will place paid court watchers in each of criminal courtrooms for Hamilton County General Sessions Court to observe and record information relevant to bail determinations and the pretrial process.

TIMEFRAME

Application and Hiring Period: Sept. 30th – October 19th
Training Session: October 20th
        Court Watch: October 25th – November 19th (8:00 AM ~ 2:30 PM - Mon.-Fri.)

Hourly Pay: $15 / hour
Parking: Reimbursed

PROCESS
Court Watchers will meet CALEB staff at 8:00 am at the Hamilton County Criminal Court Building. Observation sheets will be handed out, and court watchers will record relevant information for each case. Lunch hour will correspond with the individual courtroom. As each courtroom finishes their daily docket, observation forms are turned in to CALEB staff.

Data entry position will receive weekly observation forms to transfer to digital format.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

     Position 1: Full-week, Monday-Friday (Oct. 25 – Nov. 19), 130 hours estimated
     Position 2: Each Monday (Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15), 26 hours estimated
     Position 3: Each Tuesday (Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 9, 16), 26 hours estimated
     Position 4: Each Wednesday (Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 17), 26 hours estimated
     Position 5: Each Thursday (Oct. 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18), 26 hours estimated
     Position 6: Each Friday (Oct. 29, Nov. 5, 12, 19), 26 hours estimated

Note: We are open to one court watcher applying to cover multiple days of the week.
