The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with their food pantry and clothing closet. There are 3 shift options available.
Food Pantry - Prep: Volunteers to help every Tuesday to unload the truck delivery, re-bag food items and shelve items to be used for distribution on Wednesdays.
Food Pantry - Distribution Day: Volunteers to help every Wednesday to take food items from the shelves in the food pantry and place them into carts from different areas of the building. Those that complete the Salvation Army's civil rights training can also assist clients to their cars. Volunteers will bring stray shopping carts back to the building.
Clothing Closet: Volunteers to help sort, organize and upkeep the clothing closet that the Salvation Army offers to clients that are in need of clothing assistance. This volunteer opportunity is available any time during the week during business hours. Clothing closet appointments are on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. Volunteers can help clients "shop" for items if they complete the Salvation Army's civil rights training.
