2022 Riverwalk Farmers Market Vendor Application
Thank you for your interest the Milford Riverwalk Farmers Market. Our market is run by a volunteer committee who dedicate their time and talents to make the market one of the best in Delaware. Our market is part of Downtown Milford Inc. and their revitalization efforts in making Milford a destination city where people come to visit, shop and live. The market brings an average of 300 shoppers a week to the downtown area, and is the longest running farmers market in the State of Delaware.

Our market opens on May 7th, 2022 and will run for 27 weeks (includes Fall Market), ending the regular season on October 29th & our Fall Market on November 19th.

We provide a 10’ x 10’ space. We will have a volunteer available during set-up to make sure that everyone gets into their proper spot. Tents and tables are available for rent. The vendor will be responsible for taking them from the shed and setting them up in your assigned area and for returning them to the shed at the end of the market day. Tents are only mandatory for food vendors preparing food on site and must be 10’ x10’ or smaller. It is important that we have a consistent number of vendors each week and we encourage our vendors to attend on a regular basis. Please see the attached “Rules of the Market” for complete details on payment discounts & tent and table rentals.

The committee is looking forward to a great year at the Market and to continued revenue growth. We have a great Facebook page and advertise in local newspapers.

You can contact us via email at farmersmarket@downtownmilford.org.  For a hard copy of this application please scroll down to the bottom.

6. All vendors are responsible for bringing their own help for set-up of tents, tables, unloading, loading and displaying their product. Our market volunteer is there for directing vendors to their spots only.

7. All vendors must be courteous to other vendors. Unload quickly and move your vehicle to one of the designated public parking areas. Set-up your display once you have moved your vehicle.  The Library parking lot may be used for loading and unloading only. NO PARKING PERMITTED. Please park in lots across from the library, behind La Hacienda, across from Park Place or the State building lot on Walnut.

They will forfeit their spot to someone on the waiting list and be put at the bottom of the waiting list or be given a fill in spot. No refund of fees will be given. All absences must be called or emailed by the Wednesday before the market. Emergency situations will be taken in account if we are notified within an appropriate amount of time. An appeal may be submitted in writing to the committee for review.

12.  Tables and Tents can be rented for $10.00 per tent and $5.00 per table (6’ or 4’) and are provided on a first come basis. 14. It is the intention of Downtown Milford, Inc., to continue to provide our community with a quality farmers market. We believe that continuity of vendor participation is an important aspect of this, and we are encouraging vendors to commit to either a monthly, half-season, or full season payment scale as described below.

A)  Full year- $12.00 per week for 27 weeks (includes Fall Market) = $324.00 Due by April 1st, 2022

B)  Half Year (First Half) - $13.00 per week for 13 weeks (May-July) = $169  Due by April 1st, 2022

C)  Half Year (Second Half) -  $13.00 per week for 14 weeks (August-October plus Fall Market) = $182 Due by July 1st, 2022

D)  Monthly- $15.00 per week May-September, October includes the Fall Market.  Payment is due upon application approval and at the first market of each month thereafter.

E)  Food Truck Individual Market:  $25 per week.  Food trucks may select this option in addition to any of the above options.  Due to the high demand in vendor spots we do not offer this option as a regular vendor.

Please note- The above prices are for one 10’ x 10’ spot. If you need more room or need to set-up outside of your assigned space then you may need to pay for multiple spots. To ensure that you get the same spot each week, it’s recommended that you select the half-season or full-season payment options. We are unable to refund payment(s) for any week that a vendor does not show or for any week that the market is forced to close due to predictions of unsafe, severe weather or other acts of God.

SPECIAL NOTE: All collected fees go toward advertising, equipment, repairs, maintenance, entertainment, DMI expenses, and other items as determined by the Farmers’ Market Committee and Downtown Milford Inc.

Market operations will be Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The season will run from Saturday, May 7th, 2022 - Saturday, October 29th, 2022 with a Fall Market on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
