Phoenix Academy of Art and Science is a small charter school that offers comprehensive academic, art, science, music and character-building programs. Application for enrollment to the Phoenix Academy of Art and Science is open to all students that live in the state of Minnesota.  The Phoenix Academy of Art and Science is a tuition-free public charter school and there are no fees to apply. 

If Phoenix Academy receives more applications than spaces available, the school will hold a lottery at the February school board meeting.  Applications for the school lottery are due by the last Friday in January and must be time-stamped on or before that date. 

A school lottery system is a random selection process for determining which students will be offered the option to enroll. The lottery system aims to give all applicants an equal chance of being admitted. A lottery system only occurs when more students apply for admission than can be admitted.  (Phoenix Academy Lottery and Admission Policy) ***School lottery only takes place for placement in the upcoming, not current, school year.*** (Order of Admission: siblings of already admitted students and foster children of that student's parents, then children of staff employed at the school, then general admissions.) After the school deadline date, applications and enrollments for new students are on a first-come, first-served basis if there are grade level openings.  

**Filling out this application does NOT guarantee a spot for your student. If your child is selected for a position in a particular grade, the Phoenix Academy will notify you immediately, and send you the enrollment packet to complete and return.
