Canadian Youth Climate Summit Application 2024

As educators, you play a crucial role in shaping the next generation's understanding of climate change and inspiring them to take action. Hosted by the Centre for Global Education, the Canadian Climate Retreat aims to empower students in Grades 9 - 12 to explore the complexities of climate science, policy, and activism through interactive workshops, discussions, and presentations.

Event Details:

  • Dates: April 19, 6PM - April 21, noon
  • Location: Camp HeHoHa, Seba Beach, Alberta (link here)

During the summit, students will have the chance to:

  • Hear from leading experts in the field of climate science, environmental policy, and sustainability.
  • Participate in hands-on activities and simulations that illustrate the impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems.
  • Engage in thought-provoking discussions on the role of youth in driving positive change and advocating for climate action.
  • Connect with peers from across the country who share their passion for environmental stewardship.

Cost to students: $50 

Teachers: We have limited funds to help schools & teachers with travel and sub costs. Please detail your funding needs in the application!
