Cumberland Community Forest
The Cumberland Forest is a regional park and is an interconnected system of forests, salmon bearing creeks, wetlands and riparian areas in the traditional territory of K'omoks First Nation. The forest is integral to the surrounding areas serving as a biodiversity corridor connecting lakes, mountains, steams and watersheds.

Over the years, the use, occupancy and activities within the forest has shifted and transformed; ranging from logging, mining, hiking, biking, running, group functions and other events and activities. The forest holds significant ecological, historical, economic and recreational values.

The Cumberland Community Forest Society was formed over 20 years ago with the intent to purchase, protect and care for the Cumberland Forest. Updating the Cumberland Community Forest Management Plan will help create a clear vision, strategy and defined goals to help sustain the community forest for future generations.

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the visioning and planning for the Cumberland Community Forest by asking you to take a short survey with 15 questions.
