/r/Vancouver Moderator Application
Apply here to be considered as an r/Vancouver moderator. 
We're looking for mods that can commit to at least a few hours per week. Late hours and/or overnights PT is always appreciated, but anyone that is interested in contributing should still apply. 

We strongly suggest any interested applicants review our rules and FAQ in full before continuing to the next screen. 

Moderator Requirements: 
  • All mods must have a verified reddit account with 2FA (two-factor authentication) enabled to keep your account secure.
  • Evidence of good faith, hate-free participation on Reddit. Positive activity on this and related subs will be taken into account. 
  • Discord account with 2FA enabled for off-Reddit communications. 

If selected to be a moderator, please be aware of the following details: 
  • You will encounter hateful language, content, and abuse. 
  • You will see harmful material including graphic descriptions or images of violence or worse.
  • You will see extreme behaviour, including sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, ethnic hatred, religious hatred, caste hatred, child hatred, and more.
  • You will witness and likely experience violent threats and targeted harassment. 
Existing experience is not required to be a moderator; we will train anyone interested that is a good match for our team. Depending on your account history, we may request that you create a new account for the purpose of moderating.
