"Kingdom Conversations" Training
Join us to experience the transforming power of dialogue through a 2-day training in "Kingdom Conversations." In this training, you will learn how to host conversations across deep divides, channel divisive issues into opportunities for spiritual growth, and lean into God's call to embody a ministry of reconciliation.

Due to a generous grant by the Ministry in the City Hub, we are able to provide this 2-day training at minimal cost ($100 per participant; scholarships are available). The all-day training dates will be April 17 and May 1st (8:30am to 4:30pm), and we will be choosing 12 to 20 Christian leaders who are based in the Greater Boston-area to attend this training. Priority will be given to participants who apply in teams from their congregation or faith-based non-profit.

Applications are due March 18; if you are selected to participate, we will contact you in late March for a 1-hour interview to hear more about your interest in the workshop and discuss how this training opportunity can serve your congregation or non-profit.

If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Kelly Fassett, kelly@uniteboston.com

Describe your church background and your home congregation *
Why are you passionate about or interested in dialogue? What in your faith commitment informs your interest? *
Describe the congregation or faith-based institution that you’re coming from for this training. Where are you seeing conflict? What are you hoping to get out of this? Where would you like to put your learning to practice? *
Have you received training in dialogue, mediation or conflict transformation before? If so, please describe. *
What skills do you bring that will help you to do the work of dialogue? *
We are prioritizing individuals who apply in teams from their congregation or faith-based institution. We have found that it is helpful to provide training to someone who is on staff alongside a lay leader/volunteer who has interest in this and capacity to carry this initiative forward. Describe who else is applying from your institution and the different roles of the individuals involved. *
We are hoping to be able to offer the all-day training days on April 17 and May 1 in person in metro Boston, with taking all health and safety precautions. This would allow for a better training experience for deep conversations, small group work, and building relationships to develop an ongoing community of practice. We would ask participants to either be vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to the in-person training sessions.  If we did offer these two training days in person, would you be able to attend, or would you only be able to attend if these training days were virtual? *
Do you have any other questions/comments? Is there anything else you'd like to share with our leadership team?
