When you award a Golden Hornet, you make a $10 donation to Spaulding Education Fund, and your Golden Hornet recipient receives a golden hornet pin, a personalized dedication badge, and a certificate reflecting your words of gratitude (optional).

Spaulding Education Fund is an independent, non-profit organization providing support for programs that enhance the MERSD academic curriculum. During our spring grant cycle, we awarded $27,000 in grants to teachers to fund exciting MERSD programs, including printmaking, performing arts and robotics. Your Golden Hornet recipient can use your donation by applying for a grant!

The last day to dedicate a Golden Hornet online is May 24. They will be available at the Middle/High School entrance before school on May 21-24. Golden Hornets will be delivered to recipients the week of May 27.
