Mission Statement:
The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are dedicated to growing and promoting the Chamber through community involvement, engagement and education of benefits to potential, new and current Chamber members. Ambassadors help ensure the members maximize their Chamber membership and feel connected to the Chamber and the community. In addition, the Ambassadors are the front-line representative for the Chamber at various networking events and fundraisers to welcome and engage members at these events.

Qualifications:
¬ Must be a Chamber member or employed by a Chamber member in good standing. Will need a flexible schedule and be a highly regarded employee within the member business.
¬ Strong interpersonal skills, motivation, flexibility and sensitivity to member/prospective members as needed.
¬ Ability to communicate the mission and value of the Eastern Shore Chamber and its program and services.
¬ Possess a strong desire for community involvement.
¬ Must be willing to devote time each month to be out in the community on behalf of the Chamber.

Responsibilities of Ambassadors:
¬ Must attend 75% of monthly Ambassador Meetings.
¬ Must attend 50% of events per month, i.e., ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours, Eggs N' Issues, Jubilee Festival of Arts, Mayors' Prayer Breakfast, etc.
¬ Submit an Activity Sheet each month by the 5th of the following month to the Membership Development Director.
¬ Ambassador of the Month will be awarded to the Ambassador who has the best Activity Record.  A gift will be awarded as well as recognition in our Newsletter ($200 value).
¬ Ambassador of the Year will be chosen from the previous winners of the Ambassador of the Month.  An award will be given to the recipient as well as recognition in our Newsletter and Annual Magazine.
¬ Submit referrals and new members to the Membership Development Director
¬ Welcome and greet attendees at Chamber-sponsored events.
¬ Increase awareness of the Chamber and its benefits to potential and current members.
¬ Establish relationships with assigned new members through the On-Boarding Process.
