Keep.id is a 501-(c)(3) company that is split into many teams. Below is a description of the current teams we are recruiting for and the responsibilities of the volunteers.
Fundraising/Marketing team is focused on event planning and marketing. Members of this team will be responsible for thinking of creative ways to market the product to a diverse set of audiences including potential users and donors, as well as working with a budget to plan events to raise money. Those with strong networking, analytics, social media, and event planning skills are encouraged to apply.
Nonprofit Liaison team is focused on building relationships with nonprofits serving those in need (ie. homeless shelters, meal sites, etc.) in order to gain users on Keep.id. Members of this team will be responsible for volunteering at non-profits every week to build a relationship with the community, helping low-tech literacy users use the site, and potentially meeting with nonprofit leaders to give demonstrations and initiate long-term partnerships. Those with good communication skills and a strong sense of community are encouraged to apply.
Product team is focused on identifying specific customer pain points and developing targeted solutions to address those needs. This includes conducting customer discover interviews, wireframing, UX/UI design interviews, deriving insights from non-profit meetings, and developing surveys to gather and organize informational inputs to create value for nonprofits and people experiencing homelessnes.
Engineering team is focused on developing the frontend and backend software of the Keep.id website. Members of this team will be responsible for developing new features, building tests, and fixing bugs. Those with strong software development skills demonstrated in their courses or independent projects and those looking for an opportunity to gain real-world coding experience to prepare them for future careers are encouraged to apply.
Grant Writing team is focused on raising money by applying for multiple grants. Members of this team will be responsible for identifying and applying for grants. Those will superb writing and organizational skills and those with a good understanding of social issues are encouraged to apply.
