Welcome to Yellow Jacket Roller Derby's Open Enrollment!
Open Enrollment is a 3 week beginners course where we'll teach you the basics of skating (how to fall, stop, start, etc.) and you can decide whether you want to join YJRD at any of the sessions we offer! 

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY AND WE WILL PROVIDE EVERYTHING FOR YOU. WE HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF GEAR THAT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE BASIS SO PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY IF YOU WISH TO SECURE YOUR SPOT.

The sessions are progressive, so you will learn new things as you keep coming to practice. In other words, come to as many as you can! At the end of each session, we open our membership to prospective skaters. At that time, you may pay our semesterly dues + $25 gear deposit (which allows you to borrow gear for the entire semester) and fill out our member request form to start your membership with YJRD!!! (-: YAY!

*GEAR CHECKOUT POLICY*
Apart from semesterly dues, new skaters will be required to pay a $25 refundable security deposit to checkout gear. This security deposit will be returned at the time of punctual gear return at the end of the semester. In the event that gear is returned in unusable condition, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the security deposit. The security deposit will only be returned in full to skaters that return their gear by the gear return deadline. Skaters who return their gear after the gear return deadline risk losing their security deposit.  *
