Youth Registration Story Sharing
Juvenile Law Center (jlc.org) is working on a report on the impact of Florida's sex offender registration and notification scheme on youth.  For this report we are collecting stories from:

- individuals who were placed on Florida's sex offender registry following an adjudication (finding of guilt) in juvenile court or following a conviction in criminal court for an offense committed while under age 18.
- family members of individuals required to register as youth.

Research consistently shows that youth registration is harmful and does not advance public safety. We hope your stories will help illustrate these harms and humanize individuals required to register. We also hope your stories will guide future advocacy and eventually lead to the abolition of youth registration in Florida.

All questions are optional and you are invited to provide as much or as little information as you are comfortable with. All stories we include in the report will be shared anonymously.

If you would prefer to respond via phone or email, please reach out to Vic Wiener, vwiener@jlc.org, 215-625-0551 ext. 109. Vic works remotely so, if you call, please leave a message including a phone number, a good time to call back, and briefly identifying why you are calling and they will return your call.
