OECTA-HW Community Skating Registration
Use this form to register for our second annual OECTA-HW Community Skating Day on Thursday January 4, 2024 at Dofasco Park between 1pm and 3:15pm.  

To increase access to more members, the event will be divided into 2 one hour sessions, each with a 100 skater capacity. Participants in Session A will skate from 1pm to 2pm. Participants in Session B will skate from 2:15pm to 3:15pm. There is a 15 minute flooding of the ice at 2pm to 2:15pm.

Safety Information
Please take the time to read the following safety guidelines which must be taken into consideration prior to participation. Skating is an activity which has inherent risks to one's safety. Through your registration, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for your safety, and for that of those in your party.

  • A CSA approved hockey helmet is strongly encouraged.
  • All equipment must be in safe condition for use.
  • Appropriate clothing which allows for safe and full engagement in the activity must be worn.
  • Any jewellery which may interfere with full and safe participation in the activity must be removed.
  • Gloves or mitts are also recommended.
  • Participants with previous concussions must not participate unless cleared by a medical professional.
  • Participants need to take extra caution on the ice and follow the direction of skating.
  • Tag-type games, racing, and “crack-the-whip” must be avoided.
