The Lakeview Chamber of Commerce organizes PorchJams Lakeview, a pop-up style, community-building afternoon of live music where local artists perform on front porches throughout West Lakeview on Sunday, September 27 from 1-5PM.

Please note our guidelines below.
1. Guests must remain 6' apart and masks are required by all guests. Please reinforce this to your friends and neighbors.
2. Porches hosting music will be spread out throughout the Lakeview Chamber service area from Racine to Ravenswood and Irving Park to Diversey to avoid higher traffic in one section of the neighborhood
3. Musicians must wear a mask if they will be singing unless they are 20' away from the nearest guest. We also require musicians to wear a mask before/after their performance.
4. Musicians must bring all their own equipment for their performance and can choose to play acoustic, if preferred
5. Porch hosts will provide an extension cord (if musician is amplifying their music) and hand sanitizer for musicians playing on their porch
6. Porch hosts must wear a mask at all times when interacting with musicians and guests
7. A sign will be displayed at each porch showing the maximum number of attendees that can stand at that porch to ensure adequate space for social distancing.
8. We will only send an event map with music schedule and porch locations to a max of 200 people who purchase tickets through EventBrite. Hosts are welcome to invite a few friends and of course your neighbors to watch music at your porch, but we want to ensure there isn't overcrowding at the porches and adequate room for social distancing, so please limit your invites to friends outside of your block.


The host duties are as follows:

1. You need to be in attendance at your porch during setup and while artists are performing on your porch. Setup usually starts 30-45 minutes before set time depending on the type of artist performing on your porch (ie. acoustic or electric).

2. If you would like to have an electric musician/band perform on your porch, they will need access to an outlet either outside your porch or inside your home by the front door.

3. Inform your neighbors on your block of PorchJams Lakeview and the date/time you will have music on your porch so they are aware. Please also direct them to our website to review our guidelines. We will distribute fliers to residents in the PorchJams Lakeview blocks so everyone is aware of the program, but it would be great if you could help spread the word.
