Dear Know Book Members,

KNOW Cares is forming KNOW Cares committees in your City! Hurry as only 2-3 spots are open, so we ask that only serious applicants apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates should be established leaders in their city with a strong drive to make a difference in their communities, are looking to increase local women and youth nonprofits visibility and has been in a past or present KNOW Women book and is also a member of KNOW Women Global.

This committee will require individuals that can make the commitment of time and energy to build a local presence of KNOW Cares. We are looking for women who are dedicated to the KNOW Cares cause and possess an eagerness to work together for local nonprofits, by supporting and engaging the support of KNOW Women and future KNOW Women.

Selected candidates for the Committee Chair position will be notified per the below timeline by KNOW Cares Local Outreach Committee.  Selected candidates for the remaining open committee positions will be notified by their selected Local Committee Chair and Market Manager.

 Please read the following requirements and tips for a successful application:

- Self-applications are required
- Applications that are not fully completed will not be considered.
- Multiple entries do not enhance your chance for selection and applications featuring identical responses will be removed.
- Applicants must have been in a past or present KNOW Women book and a member of KNOW Women Global.
- Do not use lists, especially bulleted lists; each question should be answered in complete sentences.
- Phone and email information must be the direct contact information for applicant.

FAQ & Commitment Requirements:

Each Know Women City in the US will have its own committee with the following -
1 Committee Chair
1 Market Manager
2-3 Committee Members

The Board will be KNOW Cares Board of Directors. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

All nominated non profits will be filtered thru by the Local Committee and final selection(s) submitted to the Local Committee Board Director for final review of the nominations to ensure the selected organization is aligned with the KNOW Cares mission. To lift and rise small, grassroots organizations that serve women and youth. You are looking for organizations that are either new and need exposure in your city or do not have a lot of traction due to lack of exposure / experience. The committee has to believe in the mission of the organization and help put them in front of women who can help them! Women they need to KNOW!
If a majority decision cannot be reached by the committee, then the organizations to be decided on can be submitted to the KNOW Cares Local Outreach Chair  *see bottom of page

Your committee is to meet 1x month in person or virtual. The Chair is to make contact with selected Organization(s) for Congratulations call, the committee member will ask set questions and complete a questionnaire along with scheduling a meeting for the nonprofit main contact(s) to meet with the entire committee.
*Before meeting with the awarded nonprofit, the committee is to convene to discuss ways they feel will make the greatest impact for that organization. i.e. volunteer days; donation drives, KNOW Women table at an event etc. this is in conjunction with 4 KNOW Women events per year.

The selected nonprofit will receive:
A section in that seasons KNOW Women book under KNOW Cares.
Full access to all KNOW Women events for the year. They can have a table at each KNOW Women event.
Full access to KNOW Women
Opportunities for volunteers, donation drives and service days.

Time commitment is a couple of hours a week, one meeting day per month with committee and event days/evenings and coordinating of events with Market manager.
*This should be the case if the committee members are involved with splitting tasks and events.

Responsibilities of the Committees:
*Market Manager - to keep open communication with the Chair and Committee as to dates of Know Women events and what impact days might work best with those events. To ensure communication is flowing with events and ensuring the nonprofit has a space to setup and a time slot to introduce their organization at KNOW Women events.
*Committee Chair - to work closely with the Market Manager on dates of Know events to help schedule and coordinate with KNOW Cares. It is the responsibility of the Chair to ensure all committee members are participating and being responsible for their chosen roles within the committee. *The Chair will be the main point of contact for the nonprofit to work with.
*Committee Members - To assist with coordinating between the non profit and Know events. Split responsibilities of taking lead for separate events, making contacts with Know women to acquire sponsorship of space, food, beverage, and / or possible raffle or auction items to help with events held by Know Cares.

**KNOW Cares Local Outreach Committee - Consists of a Chair that serves on the Board of Directors and selected KNOW Women committee members. This committee will oversee all cities that have a KNOW Cares local presence; it is our responsibility to help guide, answer questions, ensure processes are consistent and to ensure that the KNOW Cares mission is always being upheld. We are here to help inspire and learn from all cities, new and innovative ideas to help make an impact in our communities.**
