MAJOR OF INTEREST
Please select your first choice AND second choice major of interest.
If your major is currently ETGR and you would like to major in an Engineering major, you MUST select an Engineering Technology or Construction Management major as your second major. ETGR students interested in declaring majors in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering must meet the following requirements:
(1) A grade of C or better in all high school math courses based on final high school transcript;
(2) Completion of Pre-Calculus; and
(3) A math course in the last year of high school prior to graduation.
Students admitted as ETGR who do not meet the admissions requirements but still wish to pursue Engineering may:
(1) Change their major to University College and
(2) work with an academic advisor in the University College towards the engineering major.
Students may request admission to an engineering program after satisfying the following requirements in order to be considered eligible for admission:
(1) Complete the freshman engineering curriculum as outlined in the program Plan of Study.
(2) Complete all non-elective courses in the freshman engineering curriculum with a grade of C or better with the exception of
liberal studies (LBST), science electives, and *social science elective courses depending on the major. A grade of D in a
freshman LBST, science elective, or social science elective course is considered passing.
(3) Earn a 2.5 cumulative GPA (Earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA for Mechanical Engineering).
(4) Pass all courses within two attempts which includes withdrawing from a course with a grade of W.
