YMCA National Judicial Competition Volunteer Evaluator Sign Up

The YMCA Center for Youth Voice is seeking more than 100 adult “legal-connected” volunteers (attorneys, judges/justices, law students, paralegals and other law-related professionals) to evaluate student participants in Mock Trial and Appellate Court proceedings at the 2024 National Judicial Competition (NJC) July 29 - August 1 at the Minnesota Capitol Complex.

Volunteer evaluators will receive detailed instructions at the start of their shift (as well as resources ahead of time via email) and will also receive a score sheet and rubric to maintain consistency across evaluators. Parking reimbursement is available upon request.

Each volunteer shift is either two or three hours, and you can sign up for one shift or several by checking the boxes below. The YMCA Center for Youth Voice will reach out to you in mid-July with a reminder and to confirm your shifts. **Depending on registration numbers, shift times may vary slightly.

For more information, please contact Amy Anderson, Executive Director of the YMCA Center for Youth Voice, at 612-330-3045 or amy.anderson@ymcamn.org.
