We are happy to announce that we will once again offer school-based volleyball teams for 5th-grade girls.
Our Cortland Eagles volleyball team will be coached by Mrs. Holly Birdsong.
If your daughter is interested in being a part of the Cortland Eagles 5th Grade Girls Volleyball Team please fill out the information below and submit it before Wednesday, August 3rd.
The first week of school we will practice every day from Monday, August 15th - Friday, August 19th from 3:30 - 5:00 at the Cortland Gymnasium. We will have a short parent meeting after practice on Friday, August 19th.
After that, we will practice on Mondays & Wednesdays from August 22nd - September 21st.
You will need to pick up your child after practice outside of door #10(gym door) @ 5.
For practice, students will need to bring to school with them, shorts, a t-shirt, tennis shoes, knee pads, and a water bottle. They will have time to change before volleyball practice begins.
Game Location: Seymour Middle School (exception: Sept. 24th will be at SHS)
Game Times: 8:30 - noon
Game Dates: August 20, 27 September 10, 17, 24
Length of Game: 40 Minute Matches
Enter through door #16 at SMS and door #15 at SHS
$2.00 spectator fee for adults, no admission fee for students
A game schedule will be given to the girls at the first practice. This information will also be on the August & September calendars.
5th-grade volleyball players and coaches will be recognized at the SHS volleyball match on Tuesday, August 23rd at 5:30.
