Join the University of South Alabama College of Education and Professional Studies Department of Leadership and Teacher Education to learn about the Alternative Master of Education (Alt. M.Ed.) in Elementary Education and Alt. M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education graduate programs. Alternative master's programs are offered for prospective students who have a bachelor's degree in another field and want to become a teacher.

The Alt. M.Ed. in Elementary Education prepares individuals holding a bachelor’s degree to teach in kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms. The Alt. M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education prepares individuals holding a bachelor’s degree to teach in prekindergarten through 3rd grade classrooms.
