SafePlates for Farmers Markets
Use this form to register for the SafePlates for Farmers Markets program! This class is designed to help both market vendors and market managers improve their knowledge of food safety risks present at farmers' markets, provide guidance for best practices to implement to minimize food safety risks from harvest to sale, and how to safely offer food samples to market customers. We will also have virtual reality headsets for you to experience situations at a farm and a farmers' market to help raise your awareness of food safety and associated risks of handling food intended for market.

Fee for attendance is $10 per person, and the class will be capped at 30 people. Dinner and refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is required by Monday, March 22nd to secure your spot. Mail or hand deliver your exact change/check (made out to Lee County Cooperative Extension FCS Program) to NC Cooperative Extension, 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford, NC 27330, ATTN: SAFEPLATES FOR FARMERS MARKETS. Be sure your name/phone number is referenced when dropping off your payment. The office is open 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
